You are eligible to apply if you are between the ages of 18 and 25 (as at June 20th, 2025). In addition, you have (ideally*) participated for multiple years in either a college marching band programme, a high school programme, or both.
*If you don’t meet this criteria but feel you would still be a worthy All-American candidate, please email allamerican@londonbandweek.com
There are three phases:
Phase 1: application form submission
Phase 2: instrumental audition (by pre-recorded video, not live)
Phase 3: personal interview (online, live)
Application window is open until February 21st.
We will send you the instrumental audition criteria so that you can prepare well in advance.
The personal interview will consider your overall experience, interpersonal skills and values.
To complement your application, the selection panel will also require: 1 reference from someone (non family member) who knows your musical abilities; OR a letter of recommendation from your Band Director or Private Instructor.
We expect All-Americans to have their own instruments in London. Only sousaphones and percussion will be provided as standard. However, if you have an exceptional circumstance, please email allamerican@londonbandweek.com
The Honour Band will take part in London Band Week which involves several performances (including the London Tattoo, the Palace Parade Review and Live at Tower Bridge), in addition to enjoying cultural excursions and social activities.
London Band Week 2025 runs 24th - 30th June, and will be preceded by Honour Band boot-camp (rehearsals) from the 20th June.
The Honour Band will be led by Dr. Michael J. Stewart, Director of the “Pride of the Southland” Marching Band and Associate Director of Bands at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Submit an expression of interest by using the registration form (on this page).
An application form, including all audition requirements and tour details will be emailed to you.
