About: William III and Mary II (1689-1702) created the Great Fountain Garden to complement their elegant new baroque palace. Their gardener created a garden containing fountains and planted two radiating avenues of Yew trees in the fashionable form of a goose foot. Just perfect for a regal parade review!
The London Band Week Honours Bands will parade in turn for 10 minutes each through the palace garden.
When: after the Parade Review, Sunday July 2nd
Where: The East Front Lawn, Hampton Court Palace
About: A fast paced, knockout style contest of percussion performance. Skill and flair will rule the day as the Drum Lines replace the medieval knights who once competed on the same site. To the victorious Drum Line belong the spoils: the King's Shield!
When: 1:00pm, Friday June 30th
Where: Potters Field Park, London (right next to Tower Bridge, south)
About: The Pride of the Southland marching band will play a static show for approximately 45 minutes.
